We are a fast growing, progressive financial institution based in Columbus, OH and are looking to complete our Member Services team by filling an open Member Services Representative II position (MSR II).
MSRs are the face and voice of our credit union and provide front level care for our members. They are expected to provide first-class service and attend to our members’ needs by responding to inquiries and addressing issues, anticipating needs, and selling products and services that are in the best interest of the member. This position has a high level of member contact and communication, and must be able to project a professional image.
Essential duties:
• Caters to members financial needs through a variety of modes: in person, on the phone, electronically, or through the mail.
• Efficient and effective teller functions including cash handling, drawer balancing, and member transactions.
• Opening, closing, and maintaining accounts and account services.
• Presents, explains, and sells products and services that align with the member’s needs as well the credit union’s organizational goals.
• Educates members about services, policies, types of accounts available, and other related services.
• Provides call center and email support.
• Protects member information and preserves confidentiality of all data.
• Other duties as assigned by area supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Prior teller or cash handling experience preferred
• Prior customer service experience
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Good communication skills that show sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
• Professional image
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Must work well independently and within a team
Physical requirements:
• Ability to communicate clearly and hear average or normal conversations.
• Movements frequently and regularly required using wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Average visual acuity necessary.
• Ability to stand for extended lengths of time and exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
