Bridge Credit Union is seeking an experienced, motivated, Mortgage Specialist to fill a temporary position in our lending department. Ideal candidates will thrive in a self-starting environment, but are also able to work well within a team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified applicants must present a professional appearance, have good credit, be bondable, pass a background check, and a fingerprinting background check through the requirements of NMLS. 3-5 years mortgage lending experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Processes residential mortgage loans (FHA, VA, Conventional, purchase, refinance) and home equity loans under various programs in a quality consistent with all company policies and procedures as well as meeting all regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate ability to Pre-Underwrite loans prior to submission to achieve minimal conditions upon approval.
• Monitors and ensures closing dates and company deadlines are met.
• Provides excellent member service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external members.
• Maintains a pipeline of loans and is responsible for timely and compliant flow of such loans through the process.
• Knowledge of current RESPA requirements, regulatory/investor lending guidelines, and Ohio law related to mortgage lending is required.
• Distributes and exchanges information with third party partner, follows up with members.
• Obtains and verifies that all underwriting conditions are received and cleared by the underwriter and prepares file for closing.
• Communicate with borrowers in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism.
• Strives to achieve and exceed productivity expectations and standards
