POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform tasks necessary to balance and update general ledger and subsidiary accounts, maintain and reconcile daily cash accounts, and manage other accounting-related duties including accounts payable. Prepare various accounting reports as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting principles
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Responsible for accounts payable function
• Perform account analysis and prepare financial reports
• Help ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with audits as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Maintains levels of performance to meet individual, department, and organizational goals.
• Participates in all scheduled department meetings, training (including Annual Training/Volunteer Day), and department/branch functions.
• Continually strives to gain increased knowledge of our products, services, core operating systems, policies, procedures, philosophy, and organizational structure.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate degree in Accounting, or other related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Minimum of one year experience in accounting.
• Minimum of one year previous banking and/or credit union experience.
• Effective and professional communication skills (verbal, written, and visual).
• Detailed organizational skills.
• Professional and proficient phone etiquette.
• Strong PC skills including Excel and Word.
• Ability to operate standard office machines (i.e. calculator, copier, fax, etc).
