Summary
Responsible for coordinating all interdepartmental functions, maintaining smooth operations within established OHecu policies and procedures. Develops and implements the operations plan and assists in the development of the overall OHecu business plan with major emphasis on departmental operations. Assists in the development of the strategic long range plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Actively participates as a member of the leadership team in the development and implementation of the goals, plans and objectives of OHecu. Works collaboratively with other managers to implement the OHecu business plan.
Develops a strategic business plan for departmental operations to coincide with the overall OHECU business plan.
Responsible for the operations of the Credit Union under the direction of the CEO.
Responsible for the administration of the OHECU disaster recovery plan and operations.
Responsible for controlling operating costs and assisting in contract negotiations with assigned vendors.
Directly responsible for the management/oversight of the Information Technology, Business Systems, Operations, Office Services and Facilities/Security department
Ensure the maintenance of operational procedures to maximize efficiency/quality and to provide consistent services to members. Implements OHECU operational policies and procedures through department management.
Maintains OHECU operations in compliance with all regulatory agency rules and guidelines. Stays current on regulations, programs systems and procedures as the apply to OHECU operations and ensures compliance in all areas.
On an on-going basis, review laws and regulations that impact the credit union’s compliance requirements, with emphasis on Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act and OFAC.
Prepares quantitative reports on all operational departments and offices.
Ensures that the CEO is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the credit union – including important influential factors. Participates with the CEO and Board of Directors in the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling of OHECU corporate and operational business affairs.
Attends are regular Board and Committee meetings
Represents Operations as a voting member on the Pricing Committee. Serves as a Membership Officer and Compliance Officer.
Designs, implements and controls OHECU communications and procedures throughout its structure to assure consistency among all operations.
Represents the organization with major customers, shareholders, the financial community and the public.
Demonstrates an understanding of and/or follows the requirements of all regulation compliance including but not limited to those of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions. Employee shall participate in annual training in these areas.
Assumes other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the CEO.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of assigned staff/departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Masters degree in business or related field preferred.
Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in financial industry operations. Strong knowledge of payment systems services, information and telecommunication systems. Knowledge of correspondent banking services including the related knowledge in the area of compliance. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
