Reports To: 1st Vice President/Chief Operating Officer & President/Chief Executive Officer

LorMet Community Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced, strategic, and execution-focused Chief Business & Operations Officer (CBOO) to join our executive leadership team.
The CBOO will serve as a key strategic partner to the President/CEO and 1st Vice President/COO, helping translate organizational strategy into measurable results. This is a hands-on executive leadership position for a proven credit union professional who enjoys moving ideas from concept to completion, solving problems, improving processes, developing leaders, and creating meaningful results for both members and the organization.
The ideal candidate brings broad financial-services expertise with demonstrated strength in operations, consumer and mortgage lending, project management, compliance, technology, information security, risk management, and organizational leadership.
What You'll Do
Strategic Execution & Organizational Initiatives
• Lead strategic projects and organizational initiatives from planning through implementation and completion.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and accountability measures.
• Coordinate initiatives across departments and work directly with managers and frontline teams.
• Identify obstacles, remove barriers, develop solutions, and keep projects moving forward.
• Monitor results and communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Evaluate outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence, Technology & Information Security
• Evaluate processes and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and improved member service.
• Lead and support operational improvements across the organization.
• Partner with Information Technology to identify business needs and evaluate technology solutions.
• Support core conversions, system implementations, technology enhancements, and other major organizational projects.
• Ensure technology initiatives are properly planned, tested, documented, and aligned with business objectives.
• Support information security, cybersecurity awareness, business continuity, vendor management, and technology-risk initiatives.
• Promote a strong culture of security, risk awareness, and responsible technology use.
Lending & Business Growth
• Develop and support lending strategies that drive growth, profitability, and member value.
• Evaluate consumer and mortgage lending processes, policies, products, and technology.
• Identify opportunities to improve lending efficiency and the member experience.
• Evaluate new products and services and competitive opportunities.
• Partner with lending leadership to achieve organizational lending and business-development goals while maintaining sound risk management and regulatory compliance.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Apply knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, consumer compliance, and applicable regulatory requirements to business initiatives.
• Partner with Compliance and management to identify risks and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist with regulatory examinations, audits, and responses.
• Review policies, procedures, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement while maintaining compliance.
• Promote sound risk-management practices throughout the organization.
Financial & Business Performance
• Analyze business performance, key performance indicators, and operational results.
• Evaluate product and service profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and organizational performance.
• Use financial and operational data to make informed recommendations.
• Help executive leadership measure the success and return on strategic initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
The CBOO will be a visible and collaborative executive leader who works across the organization to turn strategy into action.
This position provides direct leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to:
• Director of Branch Operations
• Senior Member Service Specialist, Personal Bankers
The CBOO will establish goals and priorities, develop leaders, promote accountability, encourage collaboration, and help managers achieve organizational objectives.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive credit union or financial institution experience.
• Minimum 5 years of executive or senior management experience.
• Strong operational, consumer lending, and mortgage lending experience.
• Demonstrated success leading projects and organizational initiatives.
• Strong understanding of credit union operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working across multiple departments and organizational functions.
• Proven ability to analyze complex challenges, develop practical solutions, and execute change.
• Experience with regulatory examinations and audits.
• Experience with core conversions, technology implementations, or other major organizational projects.
• Experience with information security, business continuity, risk management, or related initiatives.
