Reports to Branch Manager and assists in the operation of the branch office. Specific operational and member service activities as delegated by the Branch Manager, including supervision of select associates as assigned by Branch Manager at the Wilmington Pike Branch. Ensures the operations aspect of the branch is running effectively and efficiently in any absence of the Branch Manager. Responsible for presenting and explaining a number of credit union products and services to members and assisting them in utilization of these products. This person must communicate effectively through the telephone, e-mail or in person with prospective and current members and represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
Member Service/Lending-25% Meets requirements of Member Service Representative III. Effectively offer members products and services that will enhance their membership with the credit union both at new account opening and additional interactions.
Extensive knowledge of lending products and processes. Ability to conduct interviews with members, recommend products and process the loan application from beginning to end. Ensures all loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy and requirements set out in regulation. Also has thorough understanding of ancillary loan products that are offered by the credit union.
Analyse applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting or denying loan request.
Sales-25% Utilize a member’s credit report as a sales tool to look for ways to deepen a members’ relationship with the credit union as well as work with members to show them how they can improve their credit and their financial condition.
Responsible for meeting sales goals tied to branch goals such as FPC, lending, mortgage referrals as well as other goals that may be assigned.
Cross sells borrowers on the benefits of utilizing other credit union services.
Responsible for making outbound calls as assigned by manager as well as encouraging associates to send out review invites after new accounts, loan closings or any interactions with members.
Branch Workflow-25% Has an extensive knowledge of all systems and processes of branch operations not limited to: Core processing system, Plastic card processing, and IRA Processing System and branch scheduling software.
Daily ensures all teller transactions and branch transactions are reconciled, scanned, and appropriate deposits are made via Check Logic.
Capable of performing as vault custodian. Ensures all cash levels of the branch are within bonding limits. Including daily ordering or shipping of cash.
Has basic knowledge and understanding of minor troubleshooting techniques associated with various pieces of equipment used in the branch.
Assists Branch Manager in Ensuring that the Branch image is favourable, reflecting a sound and secure financial institution that employs prudent housekeeping procedures, safety measures, and provides a pleasant atmosphere.
Capable of opening or closing all branch offices in accordance with the individual branch security procedures.
Perform various duties to provide safe deposit service to members. Controls member entrance in vault area and observes all security conditions. Opens and closes safe deposit accounts. Reviews safe deposit procedures for new members. Prepares and maintains required files. Assists branch manager with working delinquent safe deposit box reports and auditing safe deposit boxes as needed. Assists Branch Manager in monthly security audits, drawer audits, and instant issue card audits.
Associate Development-10% Supports the branch manager to drive an environment of sales and service.
Performs training of tellers on processing transactions and on the products and services available to the member
Works with Manager to plan and implement training plans for all branch associates.
Observes all branch associates with members and, when appropriate, coach and mentor them to increase member service and cross sales.
Supervisory-15% Supports branch goals to staff and encourages a positive work environment. Keeps branch manager updated on any staff issues.
Serves as manager when the branch manager is out of the office.
Responsible for all or part of the duties and responsibilities involved in time sheets in the absence of the branch manager.
Assists in directing the work of an MSR.
The Assistant Branch Manager at the Wilmington Pike location directly supervises select associates as assigned by the Branch Manager and coaches and monitors their performance.
Assists Manager with interviewing, and onboarding new associates.
Performs other duties as may be delegated by the Branch Manager.
