River Valley Credit Union, with nearly $500,000 in assets, 26,000 members and 6 branch locations in and around Dayton, Ohio, is currently in search of a leader to serve as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Working with the CEO and senior management team, this individual is responsible for planning, controlling, and directing the credit union's accounting and financial reporting systems, ensuring that the entire accounting and data processing system is maintained to conform to the requirements of the Federal Credit Union Act, State legislation as might be applicable, other Rules & Regulations and Financial Management Standards prescribed and/or recommended for the prudent financial management of the credit union.

Specifically, the ideal candidate will:
• Oversee and direct treasury, budgeting, asset/liability, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, owned real estate and insurance, and related accounting and finance activities for the organization.
• Conduct analyses and prepare regular reports that depict the financial status of the credit union.
• Participate with the President/CEO and senior management team in strategic planning and in organizing and controlling the organization’s corporate and operational business affairs.
• Maintain conservative yet reliable records, prepared on a timely basis, that fully address all aspects of the credit union's assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and reserves.
• Be responsible for prudently investing excess funds to maximize yields while ensuring sufficient liquidity to cover the Credit Union’s operational needs.

Requirements:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar position at a credit union, bank, or savings & loan.
